Blast from the Past
All the hype about E3 annoucements has got every gamer, guys and girls alike, jizzing in their pants with excitement. Don't get my wrong I am right up there with you, with Castlevainia, FFXIV, Assassins Creed 2, God of War III, and MGS. It's gonna be one hell of a year.
Around this time of year, though, I like to sit down and pull out the good ol' SNES and play what I consider to be some of the best games ever made. My favorite game was made for the SNES. Which I will leave it up to you to guess what that is. Kudos to those who can figure it out. I've grown up with the video game boom, so I've watched games progress overtime, and its hard not to get involved. I'm all about the RPG's. I feel that RPG's today just aren't as fun, or challenging as ones made for the SNES. That can be argued easily, but I'm not looking for a fight. I'm just looking to see what people think about new vs. old.
So what is it for you? New or Old?. Anyone else a sucker for the older games? Do you have a system from the past that you can't part with? SNES, PSX, Sega Saturn? Feel free to reminisce and let us know what that is.

Any friend of Chrono is a friend of mine :)
so, what's your opinion on SE's new DS port?
@spyderwebb27@xanga - It's pretty good. I have a lot of troubles playing it, though. I'm so used to the poorly interperated verison than the correct verison. I'm so use to the names of the gear and dialogue from the snes verison. It just didnt feel right. That's the only down side I see to the DS version. I found the new dungeon pretty cool, and the "pokemon-like" muli-player battle is interesting. I'm just happy to have a portable Chrono Trigger :D
My favorite part, though. Had to be the way they advertised it in magazines. Just a solid black page with "Wake up ,Chrono" on it. Priceless xD
@thelegendofchrono - yeah, i remember that. the first time i flipped over my Game Informer, and on the back page it had a blank black sheet, with "wake up, crono." in white letters... good times.
but, yeah i really did miss the Tonics, and most of the weapon names too. i think they changed all but 2 of Robo's weapons. which made me peeved XD
Old for sure. Chrono Trigger is an absolute masterpiece. Hands down the best RPG I've ever played. And I wish I were exaggerating.
@Viewtiful_Justin@xanga - its so true :3
